  1. Savanna

Easy, durable and great for use at home.

This was rated as one of the better derma rollers. It feels as if there aren’t any needles at all. I have had better ones

  3. Mil Rey

First time trying a dermaroller, and I chose this one based on not only the reviews here but also researching and it was on several lists of recommended at-home rollers. I’ve only used it a few times since I just got it, so I can’t speak to the long-term results, but i can say I saw immediate short-term benefits; my skin felt tight-in-a-good-way (maybe “plumped” is a better description?), and the “11” between my brows (I furrow my brow when I focus on something, so it’s pretty deep) was much less noticeable, and a moderately deep, pitted cystic acne scar I’m self-conscious about seemed shallower and smoother. I know these immediate effects are from the mild swelling and temporarily increased blood flow, so I realize it’s not a miracle cure, but it does encourage me to keep up with the process.

Very little pressure is needed, and it doesn’t hurt at all. Just mild tingly/prickly sensations. No blood. I have guttate psoriasis, and although it rarely affects my face, I know that trauma to the skin can trigger plaques to appear (has happened often in the past), so I was a bit concerned this might cause the psoriasis to appear on my face… therefore, I didn’t use any serums or other products before or after using the roller, so I could know for sure the cause if the psoriasis did trigger, but after a couple days, I had no problems at all. 2nd time I used an age-defy moisturizer after rolling, and it did soothe the minor post-rolling minor irritation — which, for me, I really only had the first time I rolled, and seven then it was more of a mild itchiness than discomfort.

The biggest improvement I’ve noticed in the short time I’ve been using this roller is that my under eye circles and hollows ; i don’t have bags, my under eye area is truly more concave and hollow, which combined with genetic dark circles can make me look very tired or older. I do avoid the very delicate area immediately under my lower lash line, but gently rolled up to just beneath that area, slightly above the orbital socket. After just one use the hollows plumped and filled in significantly but not in the “puffy” way when lymphatic fluid pools in that area, or post-cry swelling. Just more like a youthful fullness. Because of that, even the dark circles were much less noticeable. Surprisingly, this immediate result seems to last longer than the immediate temporary results on the rest of my face; I would expect that delicate area would return to its usually state much faster. But even the next morning, that area looked almost as good as it did immediately after I rolled.

I’m definitely planning to get a .5mm roller to use in conjunction with this .25, to better address the acne scarring and deeper nasolabial fold area, and invest in serums to boost the results.

I’m about to turn 43, and while I am blessed to look much younger than my age, due to some health/medication issues, sun exposure (native Floridian, and sun exposure helps the psoriasis), and being a smoker, I’m starting to get some mild wrinkles, and I really just want to minimize that without resorting to more invasive treatments. The scarring from cystic acne is truly my bigger concern, so I do think the .5 mm will be better for my specific concerns, but this .25 mm is great for softening the mild aging issues and hopefully maintaining and preventing more.

Two of my female coworkers said I looked “illuminated” the morning after my first rolling session, and I went torally makeup free that day, just used moisturizer. I dont wear much makeup to begin with, but I’m choosing to go makeup-free for at least a week while I start my rolling routine, just to prevent introducing anything into the microneedle punctures that might either cause irritation or just slow down any results, and anyway part of my goal is that by using a dermaroller to improve my skin’s texture and appearance I can eventually give up makeup altogether (okay, except mascara!).

Definitely recommend. But also research and determine your goal and your skin’s needs so that you get the best results possible!

    Not long lasting

I’ve had a box scar in my nose for over a year. I am so grateful to have gotten this bc after using it 3x in the last week I already see a difference and flattening. I wouldn’t Rec to use it more than 2x a week. I was purposely trying ti scab the area a bit to regenerate collagen growth. I used retinol while using this.

  7. NotWabbitSeason

Works as it should. Makes micro holes into my face. You can press really hard with this and you don’t really feel a thing besides maybe some slight itching afterwords.

  8. Jess

I was super skeptical about this product. I’ve done a lot of research on derma rollers/microneedling pens and found that unless you go to an esto or derm and get it professionally done, these at-home products are unlikely to give your results.

I broke out pretty badly before my wedding and was concerned about the texture of my skin. I bought this as a hail mary, and it surprisingly worked. Now, its not going to give you drastic results. Don’t expect to have new skin after one or two uses. But I do find my skin texture looks better and more even after I use this and apply moisturizer. I am hopeful that if I use it long term, it will continue to improve my skin. But I think consistency is key.

This is the first review I’ve ever left on amazon. For this product, I just had to. I’ll start with my skin history before getting to the feedback. So I had cystic acne scarring COMBINED with sun damage. I had a sudden, horrible acne flare-up when I was 17; white heads, blackheads, cysts, postulates, everything. It was so bad, I had to get on accutane. Before getting on it, I was obsessed with tanning. I would tan every single day. Now this wouldn’t NECESSARILY be bad for my acne or my skin in general… however, it was MY actions that made it worse. I had a bad habit of picking at my skin, popping zits before they were ready, peeling little scabs off my face, overtreating pimples that were forming under the surface. My other mistake when tanning was my lack of sunscreen on my face. I would just lay there without putting a towel on my face or sunscreen, thinking it would improve my breakouts, or heal my open wounds from picking off my pimples until they drew blood. Now after doing all this, what the sun did was STOP the healing process and deepen the acne scars. Deepen the atrophic scars, and darken the hyperpigmentation. I didn’t even know how much it damaged my skin until the tan faded and I saw what my bad habit + the sun exposure, had left behind. My god, was it bad… now after waiting quite some time (about 1-2 years), the discoloration definitely faded drastically. That just came with time. BUT… what had not faded was the indentations left on my face. I tried for almost 3 years to get rid of the sunken scars, the atrophic scars seemed impossible to get rid of. Alpha hydrox definitely helped a little bit. AMBI cream couldn’t do much. No progress with vitamin E, vitamin C serum (by itself), Bio Oil, exfoliants, face masks. Nothing was TRULY getting the job done.. and THEN I find this
I had heard about Derma rollers before but was afraid to try. THANK GOD I faced that fear. The first time I used it, I don’t think I used it properly. I didn’t use enough pressure to make a difference. So then the second time I tried it, I was much more ambitious with the pressure. Afterwards I put on the Vitamin C serum, then went to bed.
I woke up the next day and OH MY GOD. I was completely floored how different my skin looked. My sunken scars were 70% gone. In ONE night, I had seen more progress than I had in THREE years. This is a miracle. I can’t believe it. My skin was smoother than it had ever been, the texture was so even. I’m so happy. People with indentations and atrophic scars, THIS IS YOUR HOLY GRAIL.
