This has been one of my worst Amazon purchases, after decades of buying items. Since I am disabled I had to pay someone to install these lights in my 12 year old daughter’s room. I made sure to check the lights straight out of the box before installing them to to avoid having a laborer respond to my home and have to pay him for doing nothing. Because of the housing boom in my area I had to wait 27 days for the electrician to have an open time slot available for such a small job (he needed to schedule it as a “filler” job when he was doing a larger “install” in my area). He did a very professional job – cabling was run by fishhook and stapled to avoid unsightly appearance. I paid the low voltage electrician to do the full install. As mentioned previously, I had already checked the light strip to ensure it worked before calling electrician. He also checked before install Lights were “glued” in place around the whole bedroom ceiling perimeter. The lights worked for 1.5 hours and then the remote stopped. Purchased a new button battery at ACE Hardware and installed the brand-new battery. Still did not work. Downloaded the “app” onto my daughter’s iPhone. The app worked to control the LED lights for the next 2 hours and then encountered problems. Emailed and contacted seller via Amazon. Was told it was 31 days since my Amazon purchase and I was on my own (only covered for 30 days). My complaint was 7 hours beyond that date. I contacted Amazon customer service. They kindly replaced the unit. I had the electrician return to install new LED “receiver” (at the ceiling level) and check to insure that the new remote worked. Now one week later, and after only a matter of less than 2 hours additional use, the unit has failed again. The remote and the app fail to respond with any reliability. The unit is terrible. I have non-working LED’s glued to the crown molding (which was just painted 6 weeks ago), and I have a fish-hook wire run that is useless. I am out over $250.00 in labor costs and have a very sad child. The time, effort and promise that was involved has totally evaporated. DO NOT BUY this item. Avoid the temptation and positive reviews. Perhaps my experience was only one of a minority this has happened to, but don’t think as I did, that it would not happen to me if the item was properly handled, installed and done in accordance with all instructions and industry standards. Extremely frustrating and sad.

The lights are great and wayyyy longer than I thought. One roll went around my entire room and down the side of one of my walls. The brightness of the lights is great, and they look very pretty. The remote control did come basically broken. When I got the lights, I used the remote twice to test it and when I went to finally set it on a color, it did not work. There is an app that you can download though which is what I use, and it works great, and it is really simple. Great lights overall just wished the remote actually worked.

I loved the lights, they were def amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the cord to connect to the white thing was too short but it brings more than enough lights. At first I thought it was too little but when I got them out they were long. Anyways, I would def purchase them again and put them all around my house! 5 stars for me!

These were recommended by a friend and they do not disappoint. They go on the walls very easily, can even peel off and reposition without losing adhesion. So many color variations, syncs with music…kind of…depends on the song. The app works great. I cant wit to get more for the living room. Originally ordered these to cheer up my home office.

We have had ½ dozen different brands, THESE so far are the best. They stick to old walls, easy to put up.
Plug in before removing strip.
Remote has so many features and an easy app to download.
